COVID-19 Safety
Staying safe during your photography session.
With the health risks posed by COVID-19, safety is my number one priority. Not only am I concerned about you, my clients’ safety, but it’s personal for me as well, as a primary caregiver for an ailing family member at very high risk.
As with all photoshoots since COVID-19 arose, I’ve enacted numerous safety measures that I abide by without exception, both in professional capacity, and on a personal, day-to-day basis; this keeps me safe, which keeps my family safe, which in turn keeps all of my clients safe.
As such, and with local regulations that are subject to change without warning, the following lists a general overview of how we’ll all stay safe during your photoshoot.

All non-commercial photography sessions (including, but not limited to, family, portrait, and engagement sessions) are conducted outdoors only.
Photographer wears an N99-rated mask during all portions of the session, from arrival to departure from session location.
Disposable masks are made available for clients for use while not actively photographing.
Regular use of hand sanitizer and hand-washing best-practices.
Hand sanitizer is made available for clients for use before, during, and after photo sessions.
Disinfection of all camera equipment before and after every photoshoot.
Standard social-distancing and COVID-19 best-practices in accordance with Virginia EO-71 or current.
No more than 25 people including staffing; please keep attendance to the minimum possible.
Due to overlapping and conflicting local orders in the DC region, I am only conducting non-commercial photoshoots in the state of Virginia as of this time.

This offer is not applicable for commercial business clients or existing bookings; photos, prints, products, albums, and any other deliverables or materials are for personal use only, and may not be used for commercial and / or marketing purposes. Deposit is due at time of booking and is non-refundable. Minimum $150 session fee required for discount. Limit 1 discount per customer. Photography Session Bookings must be initiated by emailing J. David Buerk - Photography and submitting payment in full for non-refundable deposit and completion of contract prior to the session date or sale end date, whichever occurs first. Fees in addition to photography fees may apply, including but not limited to permits, parking, travel, prints, albums, taxes, or shipping. Discounted rates are applicable only to the base rate of photography fees and / or on product orders placed at the J. David Buerk - Photography Client Portal; discount does not apply to any other fees, including but not limited to permit fees, taxes, or shipping. This discount may not be combined with any other applicable discount. Photoshoot location subject to local laws, availability, applicable permits, and any other requirements. J. David Buerk - Photography reserves the right to decline and / or cancel inquiries, bookings, or orders at their sole discretion, for reasons including, but not limited to, risk or fear for personal and / or professional safety and / or liability, unreasonable expectations, stylistic differences, irreconcilable artistic and / or conceptual differences, unforeseen logistical difficulties, and suspicion of fraud, slander, blackmail, impersonation, or any other illegal activities.
