Rachel and Andrew: Married May 31st, 2015

You might remember Rachel and Andrew from their snowy engagement session with their two beautiful horses.  Now you will remember them for their lovely southern-style summer wedding, right on the Potomac River.  The weather held out all day for a breezy outdoor ceremony and bright barn reception with a live band to keep the party kicking.

Rachel and Andrew are avid wine and scotch aficionados (yay!), and even incorporated their love of good spirits into their big day; the ring bearer was more of a flask bearer, and their favorite bottles were available for everyone to enjoy at the reception.

I have to thank my fantastic assistant photographer Eddie Kyle who helps make photographing weddings like Rachel and Andrew's possible.

Kaelin and Tyler: Married June 13th, 2015

Kaelin and Tyler's elegant Washington, DC wedding, which began at a Georgetown church dating back to 1867 and ended at Arlington's best view of the city, seemed quite fitting to share with you on our nation's most star-studded weekend.  After the requisite hair and makeup, it was off to the Potomac River waterfront church on a beautiful Summer day.

As always, I have to thank my wonderful assistant photographer Eddie Kyle who helps make covering weddings like Kaelin and Tyler's possible.

McLaren 570S

This past Friday, I was a special guest at a private showcase of McLaren's latest generation of sports cars, the Sport Series, featuring the brand new 570S.  McLaren shared their heritage and explained the concepts applied to their brand new model in Washington, DC's Long View Gallery - it was appropriately fitting that an automobile which is a true work of art was presented in an art gallery.

I always love a car with flying buttresses.

There of course were also several 650Ses on hand to also check out.  The hardtop convertible roof is incredibly fast... but everything on these cars is fast.

As every McLaren is built by hand, the British car producer will create your supercar in any color you can dream up.  Between the Fire Black, Tarocco Orange, and Volcano Yellow examples present, you can tell which one I prefer, and I think suits me (I also preferred the Alcantara interior - not pictured).  Of course, I'd be ordering one in Mantis Green.  So here is the obligatory photo sitting in one.

Love Wins

I happened to be downtown on Friday checking out McLaren's new 570S, and stayed in DC to watch the Supreme Court's ruling on Marriage Equality be announced.

Love wins.

By the way, this is what the Capitol currently looks like.

Katie's Cars and Coffee, April 4th, 2015 (Easter Weekend)

Happy Easter!  I promise my next posting will NOT be car related.  I have several sets of pictures in the pipeline that simply cannot be posted yet.

It's been about 2 months since I've been to Katie's, and it's only the second time I've been with the new ride.  Spring has finally arrived, and that means the crowds are getting bigger... but so far it's not like last year where Katie's was overrun (that's probably coming again this Summer... although I really hope not).

My car got some looks, a few pictures... until the Speedster parked next to me, and then the neon green Huracán kitty-corner... but that was later on.  LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE LOOKING AT MY CAR!!! I'M BEING NOTICED!!!........

Everyone was totally into my car.  Totes magotes.

I'm pretty sure I was one of those cars there that people aren't quite sure if I'm there for the show or the shops.  Like that random Cross Cabriolet that shows up sometimes... or the completely stock Odyssey that has its hood popped... okay, he was just trolling hardcore.

Anyway, this was the first show I've attended this Spring, and it was a lovely morning for it, with a great new selection of arrivals.

I chose to use my 90mm Tilt-Shift this weekend, as it's my least used lens, but still one of my favorites.
